Oh sweet Lucy! Lucy's story begins with a family that was feeding her and the stray pack that she was a part of. When she was about a year old, that family moved to a different town and could not take all of those strays with them. They brought her to the shelter so that we could take over from there. She was with us only a few weeks before being adopted by an incredible family who told us that she was quite possibly the best dog they had ever had. She got along well with the other dog in the household, adored the children and followed the family wherever they went. As winter came in, Lucy's undercoat did as well. A few members of the family began experiencing bad allergies and made the difficult decision to surrender her. Lucy has made it clear that she is not a fan of cats so we will only accept applications from non-cat households. She gets along very well with other dogs both inside the home and out. She is currently being fostered by a home with 3 dogs and is doing very well. She is as playful as she is loving. She is just as happy playing as she is snuggling up with her people. Lucy is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She is ready to take on adoption again and we are looking forward to helping her find her forever home.
