Chief is a big goofy boy that loves life! When he gets excited (which is pretty much all the time), his whole body wiggles more than the wiggliest wiggles ever wiggled! Chief is about 18 months old. His previous owner tells us that he is good with other dogs. Around cats he seems to do okay unless they run. He loves all children big and small! Families with children should be cautioned that with Chiefs size and strength, he can easily knock over small children. He is a total companion and will make a wonderful pet for the right family. As per PAWS policy, fenced secured yards are a must. Experience with the breed is helpful, but not mandatory. Bulldogs are highly intelligent and loyal. They are a sensitive breed that will not respond well to negative reinforcement. Chiefs applicants should be ready to enlist the help of a trainer to make sure he is well socialized. While the bulldogs temperament is generally friendly, they are also loyal and may become protective and cautious of strangers. Chiefs current weight is just over 60 lbs. Full grown, the male American Bulldog can weight up to 130 lbs. A sensible diet and regular exercise is a must. Chief is on a neuter hold and will be available in the coming weeks. Approved applicants are welcome to arrange a visit to meet this darling boy.
